dm29 has a new signoff.
I'm retiring the old dm29 signoff, and in its place, is something more circular and to a certain degree, more unique.
The previous signoff you all may have come to recognise was first used in 2016, on a steamy SoarinDash MLP piece, taking over its predecessor that foolishly used my signature with the fandom icon and the deviantArt URL, housed in a different, more uniform format.
When I created Yours Trudy, I realised it wasn't really a fandom, and I didn't have anything I could use at the time as an icon to slap onto the dm29 signoff. Not wanting to foolishly use my signature again, I settled on the "dm" signoff, which will continue to be used on all Yours Trudy art pieces for now. A variant of the "dm" signoff was used on my 2024 multifandom calendar, inspired by comic and pin-up artists' signoffs.
Today, I'm expanding on the "dm" signoff, and adding 29 to it. I'm doing this for a few reasons:
"dm29" is actually a Googlable name (thanks to you all), making the deviantArt URL redundant.
"dm29" is short, concise and memorable, and having a simple, hand-drawn signoff like this could help create a brand more than a rectangle and the Calibri font can.
Having a more compact signoff close to a 1:1 aspect ratio makes it neat. I can even commission a rubber stamp and make my literal mark on postcards and merchandise in the future.
Having the year on the signoff would've been useful 14 years ago. I don't remember when I drew anything beyond the previous 16 months anymore.
I'm handing a print of my work over this weekend to someone I feel is important enough to require a more professional-looking signoff.
The new signoff will be in use for all upcoming artworks and commissions from today, already in use on my latest Hilda piece.
In case some of you are wondering, the dm in dm29 comes from a localised English version of a Japanese arcade game that let you pick two parts of your player's name at random, and it handed me "dangerous marshmallow". I'm pretty sure that's the story though I'm not sure the game even existed in English as I can't find the English version of the ROM, but I held on to that name and made it my ridiculously long email address for a time.

Sometime last week I released NO BOYS ALLOWED!, my print-it-yourself fanart calendar for 2024. I've outsourced the printing of my copy this year, and I had to meet a minimum quota, so good news to you! I've got 4 ready-printed copies of my pin-up calendar, available to ship to most international locations by December.
The A4-sized laser-printed prints are printed on 120gsm paper and are printed on both sides of the paper. Shipping is included in the cost, and I ship best to countries that aren't affected by my local postal services.

The times they are a changeling. I served the MLP fanart community for the nine years of friendship horse that was. And with my enjoyment of Adventure Time and Purple Smart, I melded the two to form my deviantArt icon.
Today, I still kinda do MLP fanart, but I've gone on to many other fandoms, dipping my feet in some, taking a dive in others. And I've come full circle, finally returning to an original series this year.
Poo-Brain Twilight will be retired as my icon, and will go on as my icon on Derpibooru, which was previously a negative of PBT. In its place here, is my soulless artist persona Jules (currently used as my artist IDs on Patreon, YouTube and sometimes Twitter) that I've also slathered on as my new deviantArt banner highlighting the many aspects of my work.
